She, he or it (it was fluid times), they could never remember who started it - nor why - but once they’d started they couldn’t stop - until they could - when one of them got bored. They weren’t sure which one got bored most first but they liked the memories of what had or hadn’t been - or one of them thought they did.

This might turn into something longer but the above came to me this morning while walking the dog in Regent’s Park.
